Here at the Johnson County Family YMCA, our current fitness offerings have been in the form of low impact workouts, cardio equipment, and weightlifting. We have recognized the need for diversity; however, we have lacked a space truly dedicated to high-intensity workouts. That space has been found.
Enter the Strength & Agility Center.
We have re-repurposed our last racquetball court, which had previously been utilized as a barebones group fitness room, into a space that is targeted towards higher-intensity training. However, high-intensity workouts are not all that the Strength & Agility Center is for.
The Strength & Agility Center is designed, with body balance in mind, for those individuals and groups seeking a place to become faster, stronger, and more explosive. More simply put, it is designed to help anyone seeking a home for their journey to becoming an overall better version of themselves. Whether it is a middle school student attending a group fitness class targeted at their age group, someone in their physical prime, or one of our senior members, everyone can find a way to utilize this exciting new space.

The Strength & Agility Center was generously funded by the Homer A. & Mildred S. Scott Foundation and the Johnson County Commissioners.
