Local Banks Make Y Summer Camp A Unique Experience

Summer vacation, a special time for kids to unwind from the school year and then ramp back up with all that extra time on their hands. Here at the Y, we recognize the desire of these kids to make every summer the Greatest Summer Ever. We also realize that sometimes it takes a village. The support needed to make this summer a hit came from a couple of our locals banks.

 

Flix on the Big Screen

Thanks to the generosity of First Interstate Bank our campers were able to spend a day at the movies each week for summer movie club. The financial support of the bank paid for the movie and a kids pack including drink, popcorn and candy while they enjoyed their movie. Summer movie club was a special day each week with some of the favorite movies being Despicable me 3, Cars 3, Hotel Transylvania 2 and the Greatest Showman (this is one I will attest to liking myself). Thanks again First Interstate Bank for your generous support and commitment to our youth!

Everyone on the Bus

Another partner making this the Greatest Summer Ever was First Northern Bank. FNB sponsored the field trip days allowing the campers to get out of town and enjoy new experiences. Some of these experiences had an educational component like touring a coal mine, visiting Devil’s Tower and experiencing a science center. Many of the other trips were all about the fun; because, what kid doesn’t love trampolines, roller skates and bowling. Huge shout out to FNB for helping us get Everyone On The Bus for some amazing excursions!
