Y-Ball Tipping Off Early This Year

We are very excited with all the changes we have made around the Y in this past year and we are not done yet! Our next big move is to our Y-Ball program moving the 3rd-6th grade season before Christmas and the PreK-2nd grade season after.

Why Are We Swapping Seasons?

The popularity of travel basketball has grown substantially over the past few years with the majority of the tournaments falling after Christmas during Y-Ball season. This has made it difficult on players and coaches to enjoy both seasons. By running 3rd – 6th grade Y-Ball in the fall the players will get more court time before travel ball season and develop their skills even more.

Here are the details

This season of Y-Ball will have divisions for 3rd/4th and 5th/6th boys and girls. Our focus is the fundamentals of basketball and intended to develop our athletes in each division. All players will get a chance to play the game, learn the rules, become team players and demonstrate good sportsmanship.

• Skills Day October 15th
  • Girls 5:30 PM
  • Boys 6:30 PM
• Games will be Monday evenings at the Y and Cloud Peak Elementary
• Registration deadline Friday, October 12th
  • $10.00 late fee will be assessed after the deadline
