Lazy Man Triathalon

New this year! Take on the challenge solo or join a team! (up to 5 per team)

The Ironman Triathlon is one of the most grueling 1 day endurance events in the world, consisting of a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike ride, and a 26.2 mile run. The challenge will be to complete an Ironman distance triathlon cumulatively over the course of 8 weeks. All athletes that complete the challenge will receive a finisher prize.

This is a great way to get you ready for summer!

To complete a full Iron Man requires you to

  • Swim 2.4 Miles
  • Bike 112 Miles
  • Run 26.4 Miles

Your data will be tracked through our YMCA360 mobile app or with a tracking sheet available at the YMCA front desk.

Let’s break it down… It’s only…

  • Swim – 0.3 miles each week – 11 laps in our pool or 1 water exercise class
  • Bike – 14 miles each week – 1 Group Cycle class or 1 hour on recumbent bike
  • Run/Walk – 3.3 miles each week – Treadmill, elliptical, or 13.5 laps around the Grace Field track
