Fitness is a very individualized pursuit. We all start at a different point but the lifelong pursuit must focus on attaining and maintaining a balanced spirit, mind, and body. The Y is a place where you can work toward that balance by challenging yourself to learn something new, fostering connections with friends, and bringing your loved ones closer together through our many family-centered activities. At the Y, it’s not about the activity you choose as much as it is about the benefits of living healthier inside and out.
Our Fitness Classes are designed to complement the other physical activities that you are engaged in. Build physical and mental strength, improve flexibility, push your cardio limits, relieve the stress of the mind and body, and find improvement through a variety of disciplines.
With five highly certified instructors, we are able to offer Yoga for anyone’s desire and ability. Our Yoga offerings include: 101, Basics, Flow, and Targeted. 101 is really the starting point to your Yoga beginnings. This class utilizes props and is focused on teaching you the body positions needed to advance. Basics is a half hour class covering the major aspects of yoga: breath work, meditation, yoga poses and is perfect for the beginner. Flow is an invigorating class geared for those with some yoga experience. Sun salutations, core work, endurance poses along with stretching, and breath work. The class ends with a soothing Savasana. Targeted is the newest to our lineup and will target a different area of the body with each class using Yoga techniques.
Barre mixes elements of Pilates, Ballet, Yoga and functional movements to be sure and have you feeling the burn.
PiYo is a full-body exercise regimen that is designed to whip you into shape from head to toe. This exciting class combines the benefits of Pilates and yoga to help you build strength, lose weight, increase flexibility and have a great time in the process.
This class is designed to lengthen and strengthen muscles using Yoga and Pilates concepts, giving the body its maximum range of movement.
An instructor-guided class that provides a great non-impact aerobic workout. It is motivational and encouraging for people of all fitness levels helping build your cardiovascular strength and endurance. Instructors guide participants through combinations of riding techniques.
This is a safe and interactive program designed as a Phase III cardio strength building class. If you are looking for a low impact workout this class is for you! Also great for older adults and those with limited physical abilities.
A moderate intensity aerobic exercise class in the water utilizing the water and other equipment to get a whole body workout in a fun and safe environment without the physical impact of gravity.
Swim & Spin
Training for a triathlon? Swim and Spin will get you ready for the swim to bike transition. Not planning on a triathlon? Swim and Spin will mix up the workout keeping it fun and exciting. Swim begins at 11:30 am and goes until noon with cycle portion from noon until 12:30.
An aquatic exercise class with wellness concept to help those with arthritis to help manage symptoms, maintain independence and enjoy life.
Tabata is high-intensity interval training consisting of 20 seconds of high-intensity exercise followed by 10 short seconds of rest. This mix of strength and cardio is designed for optimal fat burn. Tabata is a complete full body workout in only 30 minutes.
This class is designed to burn calories and lose inches using a mix of high-intensity strength and cardiovascular exercises with short recovery periods.
Personal Training is a great way to get started in an exercise program, help you push past your most recent plateau or experience new fitness disciplines. Your trainer will design the right plan to help you achieve your fitness goals and reach your healthiest you.
Your Personal Trainer will help you to: Facilitates realistic goals and develop a plan to achieve them, personalize the program to your needs, provide you with the motivation to keep moving and hold you accountable to your progress. The accountability and personalization of a trainer will help you feel less stressed and more focused. Your Trainer will guide you on your wellness journey while showing you how to balance exercise and healthy lifestyle behaviors with everyday life.
